i love music!!! here is a music "autobiography"...
i.
growing up, i think 2009 - 2012ish youtube most influenced my music taste, leaning towards cheesy trance / happy hardcore; if it had a scene anime girl drawing and a windows movie maker intro, i probably listened to it. i honestly lost interest in EDM when it shifted towards dubstep, but found a throughline i could follow with PC Music when i discovered Charli XCX's Pop 2 in 2017. in all honesty i never felt the need to categorize my music taste and i still struggle to do so ... you can see my current favorite records here.
ii.
my entry to making music on my computer was through famitracker, where i started making shitty undertale chiptune covers in middle school. i started moving towards making sample and VST based music in 2020ish when i picked up OpenMPT.
iii.
i moved for college in 2021 and my life got pretty chaotic. after a handful of epiphanies about what i wanted to do and who i wanted to be, i came back to music in the latter half of 2023. i made a ton of cherished memories making music and going to shows in my last year of college, and in doing so i was caught "up to speed" on new music; in particular, i was really taken by genres like dariacore, and i found myself getting in better, deliberate touch with the roots of the trance and hardcore music i loved back then.

a few years ago, i went under the knife, and i dreamt that i was in heaven. and heaven was a dance floor, with everyone moving into a single consciousness. this memory often guides me from day to day, looking for a brief moment of that heaven anywhere...
v.
what now? outside of music, i work a full time job that i love (as much as you can really possibly love a job, anyway). i practice piano as much as i can. i'm trying to be a more deliberate listener. i like to go to live shows in my town and support my friends who are local DJs or part of bands (or both!).
